My article was about fetuses with brain patterns matching those of unconscious adults. Beginning at 20 weeks, it's dragged all the way into adulthood with the distinct busy-quiet pattern. Scientists wonder why it happens so early in development. Some theorize that it is meant to keep cells alive, and some believe from tests done on mice that it may be part of the mapping process of the nervous system or brain cells.

Reflection: This is a great discovery, because it may lead to figuring out how the brain works, which might also be a bad thing, because knowledge of how the brain works may lead to ways of controlling the brain, which could lead to terrorism and/or war. I also like that this article is closely related to what we're currently studying.
